1. The “sticky stuff” that caused the original spot hasn’t been completely removed.

2. Also, the cleaning agent wasn’t rinsed out, once the carpet appeared clean.

Here’s What To Do Whether you use Coleman’s Special Spot Remover or a store brand cleaner, spray on just a little and massage with your fingers or a soft brush. Then, be sure to blot out as much of the dirt as possible with a clean, terry cloth towel. Next, spray the area with clean water with two tablespoons of white vinegar added. Blot once again with a clean, terry cloth towel.
